Wow, 6 years...!  Heck, yes, you are a success!  (You KNOW how I feel about those damn BMI charts that don't take age, body type, heredity, etc. into account!  )

Congratulations.  FWIW, I don't know ANY women our age who should wear bikinis!!!

I know all too well what you mean. I just wish more people could watch this. Not just those struggling with weight, but everyone. Maybe they would get a glimpse of what we are going through and would stop being so cruel.

Topic: Happy Holidays
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone.  January 4th would have been my 10 year anniversary of my RNY.  Of course I was reversed totally in 2005 at University Hospital in Cincinnati by a Dr. Selwyn.  Who is no longer there.

How is everyone doing on eating during the holidays?  There are to many temptations out there with homemade pies.  Now with ham, I love it.

I want some friends in the WLS world.  Female or male to chat with.  Drop me a line.

Hugs,

Topic: RE: Post RNY ??? Dumping vs. Late Dumping???
I do no sugar and no flour right now as I hve found I am a food addict and have joined a 12 step program called FAA (Food Addicts Anonymous) and their food plan is no sugar and no flour.  I have only recently joined this so I did have some issues with dumping previously.  Many to be honest.  I haven't always made good choices until I joined and started working the FAA program.

This is so great!  I have been looking for a support group closer to home, even though this is still a bit far, I am still closer to home than Cleveland!

Topic: RE: Does anyone know if Molina insurance will cover Lap Band Surgery????
Your best bet is to call them. Even if someone else has the same insurance each POLICY is DIFFERENT as per your employeer. so call to find out what is covered and what is not covered with the band. A lot of insurance has caps and they will cover surgery but NOT fills. call and find out all the details of YOUR policy.
Good Luck,
Robin

I dont know about the lap band but they covered my RNY..

Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only TRUE FRIENDS will leave footprints in your heart...And may that friendship have such a ONENESS that when one weeps the other will taste salt...Friends are like balloons ; once you let them go you can't get them back....So I'm going to tie you to my heart so I never lose you.

Topic: RE: Something to replace slimfast shakes?

I am super picky about my protein shakes, but I did find one online that was really great.  it's called  About time --Birthday cake flavor.  You can find it on Melting Mama's website she did a review of it.  You can also order some samples for 1.99 and free shipping.  It mixes well and is very smooth, not gritty tasting at all, and has a nice creamy flavor when mixed with milk or soy milk.
